Governing Body Role
The Governing Body at Carlinghow School works very closely with the Head teacher and staff to ensure that the school is a happy and caring environment for the children to learn in. While the head teacher is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, the role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic leadership and to act as a "critical friend", supporting the work of the head teacher and other staff.
The Governing Body has a number of sub-committees which look in more detail at performance standards, the well-being of the children and the financial health of the school.
The governors at Carlinghow School are dedicated to their role of supporting and challenging staff to make the school the best it can be for our children. Copies of the minutes of the Governing Body and it’s sub committees are held in the school office and are available to parents.
